PRESENTATION OF SAVEURS FROM PICARDY

Flavours from Picardy is a selective regional collective brand supported by the region. It was created in 1995 to federate and facilitate the knowledge and the distribution of products. It belongs to the committee of promotion Soils of Picardy.

Flavours from Picardy takes place as a brand allowing to identify the regional and craft products and then to be able to make a communication and a collective promotion on an original and diversified range of products.

The peculiarity of the brand lies in the fact that there are the products which are approved and not companies.

The various criteria to obtain the approval Flavours of Picardy are the following ones:
- The company has to count less than 50 employees,
- The used raw materials have to mainly come from Picardy,
- The quality of the manufacturing processes must be insured,
- The product has to answer precise specifications. These specifications are established by Soils of Picardy,then, it is validated by the DRCCRF* or the DSV **,
- The product passes in committee of approval where it is noted on its presentation, its holding, its smell, its texture and naturally its taste. To get success of this stage, it has to have an average note at least equal to 12, otherwise, it is thrown rejected,
- When the product crosses successfully the committee of approval, it must be then analyzed by an independent laboratory chosen by Soils of Picardy on the criteria defined in the specifications. If analyses are good, it obtains the approval Flavours of Picardy.

Products are regularly analyzed and sampled to guarantee a preservation of the quality of the product and its taste.
