What is the " Bienvenue à la Ferme" (Welcome to the farm) network  ?

More than 30 years ago the farmers developed activities of tourist reception on their exploitation. Their motivations notably were the research of an opening on the outside, the will to make discover their profession, to value their productions and the concern to protect a heritage built by quality. At the same time, the consumers and the tourists look for a return to nature, express increasing requirements in living environment, in quality of foodstuffs, leisure activities, and wish to take up relations of nearness.
The network "Bienvenue à la Ferme" allowed to cross the offer of the farmers and the demand of the company. To set up this new activity the farmers formed themselves little by little and in 1988, the Assembly Permanente of Farmers' associations has create the service "Bienvenue à la Ferme".
